Our Suffolk Highways contract involves cutting the verges on A,B,C & U class roads in West Suffolk
Mechanical & Hand Grip clearance in West, North of Central and Waveney areas
and Weed Spraying in West and Central Suffolk.
The grass is currently cut twice per year.
The Central area has 3 weed spray visits per year
The West area has 2 weed treatments with selected towns receiving a third.
Grip clearing is carried out once per year with selected roads that are not suitable for
tractor access being cleared by a team by hand.
The photos above demonstrate the long reach hedge/grass cutter cutting the bottom
of a river bank and the hedge the other side of the river.

The photo next to that is of a finished
grip, allowing water to run off of the road
and into the drainage ditch.
