In 2010, We were awarded a contract to work for May Gurney on their Lincolnshire Highways Alliance

Scheme, The alliance is responsible for the highways maintenance in Lincolnshire.

Tilbrooks are responsible for Amenity grass cutting in the North & West Divisions, Verge Mowing

in all 4 divisions, Highway weed control in all divisions and Public right of way cutting in all divisions.

in all 4 divisions we have been able to utilise previous contractors for the Verge cutting, retaining a lot

of local knowledge which has benefited the contract enormously.

Above are photos of some of the machinery used in Lincolnshire.

We decided to use Ransomes mowers as they were completely hydraulic

which has reduced noise and vibrations considerably.

The spraying is carried out with 6 Kawasaki Quads with Nomix Kerbside Units

built onto them. (Pictured Below)

The photo to the left is of the control

box for the KSU.The control box

allows the operator to control the

spray width of each spray head

individually. the daily calibrations are

done in the main pump box where the

millilitres per minute can be adjusted,

but that only needs doing daily.

As part of our contract, our cutting and spraying vehicles are required to be fitted

with trackers, This allows us to see where our vehicles are and also to see what roads

the sprayers or cutters were active on, allowing u to manage any complaints that may

come through, as well as monitoring a wide area of work. for more information on

vehicle tracking, please visit www.cybit.co.uk
