July Racecourse
In 2006 the prestigious July Racecourse in Newmarket
had a multi-milion pound face lift which included extensive
landscape works including the building of grass ''seating mounds'',
semi mature tree planting, turfing and also ornamental shrub
beds which was carried out by Tilbrooks.
The contractors required an 'instant' look due to the time scales
involved, which meant Tilbrooks sourcing 15 70-80cm girth trees
and a further 9 50-60cm girth trees, along with 90 Meters of
Hornbeam 'ready hedge'.
Also included in the contract was to install a grass reinforcement
system to allow the television companies to park their vehicles
close to the downlink stations.
