Mildenhall Scout Group
Mildenhall Scout Group required a solution to the risky business of launching their canoes and Kayaks
into the River Lark in Mildenhall and Tilbrooks won the contract to build the pre-designed launch area.
The construction including the installation of Gabion walls (stone filled cages) to reinforce the river bank
and the installation of decking over the Gabion walls to allow the scouts to safely enter and leave the water.
Once the construction works were complete, the areas surrounding the launch area were levelled and seeded
to enhance the visual impact of the area and to provide a practical area for the Scout Group to use.
